Policy

General Return Policy (The 30-Day Window)

We offer a 30-day window for returns and refunds, calculated from the date you receive your order. However, due to food safety regulations, there are specific conditions for what can be returned.

Non-Returnable Items (Teas and Consumables)

For safety and hygiene reasons, all sales of loose-leaf tea, packaged tea, and consumable food items are FINAL and cannot be returned or exchanged.

We cannot accept returns simply because a customer did not like the flavor of a tea they purchased. We encourage customers to try our sample sizes before committing to a larger quantity.

Eligible Items for Return or Refund

You are eligible for a refund, replacement, or store credit only in the following situations:

Condition

Incorrect Item Sent 

  • you received a product that is different from what you ordered (e.g., received [Green Tea name] instead of [Black Tea name]).

    • Free replacement shipment of the correct item, or a full refund. No return required.

Defective Accessories

  • Non-consumable items (like tea infusers, spoons, or unopened mugs) that arrive with a manufacturing defect.

    • ​Exchange for a new item, or a full refund upon return of the item.

How to Initiate a Refund/Replacement

​If your order qualifies under one of the conditions above, please follow these steps:

  1. Contact Us Immediately: Send an email to [Your Dedicated Customer Service Email, e.g., hello@collecteatea.com] within 7 days of receiving your package.

  2. Provide Proof: Include your Order Number and a clear Photo or Video of the damage or the incorrect item received.

  3. Wait for Confirmation: We will review the request and respond within [e.g., 1-2 business days] to confirm the replacement or refund process.

Note: For damaged or incorrect tea products, you will not be required to ship the item back to us.

Returns for Non-Consumables (Accessories Only)

For non-consumable accessories being returned for a defect (Section 3, last point):

  1. The item must be unused, in the same condition you received it, and in its original packaging.

  2. You are responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning the item to us.

  3. Refunds will be processed upon inspection of the returned item and applied to your original method of payment within [e.g., 5-10] business days.

Sale Item

Only regular priced items may be refunded or replaced. Items marked as "Final Sale" or deeply discounted cannot be refunded or exchanged.
